This tour lasts 90 minutes. There is also a 55-minute version for groups of 15 or more people.
Security: Please be alert to any unattended bags, or suspicious characters and sounds.(BEWARE DANGER of shootings amongst large queues or crowds). See also this Police advisory link.
The meeting point for all our tours is in the South East corner of the British Museum's Great Court, at the statue of a 'boy on a horse', near the Information Desk. Our guide(s) wear a blue lanyard with a Bible Tours badge.
We are now advising all our visitors to avoid standing in the long queue outside the front of the Museum. Instead, walk around to the back of the museum (Montagu Place, WC1E 7JW) as there is generally a smaller queue. Please be sure that your smartphone is working, so we can contact you if necessary. We will only reply to overseas numbers using WhatsApp or email.
You can contact us at info@bible-tours.co.uk. The administration manager's personal mobile number is 07539291671 (messages are preferred, but we cannot guarantee an immediate response). The museum is open at 9am (lobby & WC only); the galleries open at 10am. Please allow at least one hour to walk from the nearest tube station and through security at either the front or back entrance.
At the end of your tour, we will return to the starting point at the 'boy on a horse' statue, next to the information desk. You may like to give your guide a customary tip (gratuity), as we generally only cover their basic costs in attending the museum.
If you fail to turn up, we may refund your payment less the admin, guide & exchange fees (if applicable). You need to tell us in advance what your problem is.
Currently, we can only take online bookings for English language tours on our regular Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday time slots. However, if you would like a tour in another language or on a different day, we would be happy to try and assist you. Just send us an email to see what we can do.
